TRADE MINISTER INAUGURATES NEW BOARD FOR GHANA TRADE FAIR COMPANY, CHARGES MEMBERS TO REVIVE NATIONAL EXHIBITION HUB
The Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Hon. Elizabeth
Ofosu-Adjare, has inaugurated a newly constituted Board of Directors for the
Ghana Trade Fair Company Limited (GTFCL), with a renewed call to restore the
company as a premier platform for trade, exhibitions, and investment
attraction.
The Trade Minister, Hon. Ofosu-Adjare acknowledged the longstanding
operational and infrastructural challenges that have hindered the effective
functioning of the Trade Fair Company.
She, however, assured the new board of
the government’s full commitment to supporting efforts aimed at revitalizing
the institution.
“The revamping of the Ghana Trade Fair Company is not just a matter of
restoring infrastructure.
It is about reclaiming the Trade Fair grounds as a
symbol of national pride and a strategic center for business exchange,
exhibition, and economic engagement,” the Minister stated.
She charged the new board to work diligently towards reviving Ghana’s
trade fair culture by attracting both local and international exhibitions.
According to her, this is critical for positioning Ghana as a hub for trade
promotion in the West African sub-region.
In his acceptance remarks, the newly appointed Chairman of the GTFCL
Board, Mr. Kwame Owusu Sekyere, expressed appreciation to the government for
the confidence reposed in him and his colleagues.

and functionality.
