Industrial Sector Support Programme (ISSP)

Ghana’s long-term vision sets out to achieve consistently higher levels of GDP growth and job creation, through increased domestic production and international trade. This requires a new policy orientation capable of transforming Ghana into an industry-driven economy that delivers high levels of productivity as well as decent jobs, on a scale significant and widespread enough to achieve equitable social and economic development.

This Industrial Policy, approved by Cabinet in April 2010, is set within the context of the vision of transforming the economy into one driven by an industrial development model, capable of delivering widespread, equitable and sustainable impacts, particularly in terms of inclusive growth, jobs and poverty reduction.
